Image collection file

An Image collection is the older freeform SVG asset grid below images/; it is separate from tokenized Design-system Images.

  • Property: Identity · Current behavior: files below images/

  • Property: Workspace · Current behavior: numbered SVG image cards

  • Property: UI actions · Current behavior: Add Image, Paste, Delete, Clear

  • Property: Paste input · Current behavior: textual SVG markup from the clipboard

  • Property: Consumer identity · Current behavior: stable row ID, not displayed card number

  • Property: MCP · Current behavior: raw/generic read only; no dedicated mutation family

Features

Right-click the workspace to add an image or clear all rows. Use a card menu to paste SVG markup or delete the row. Rows have no authored names. Their displayed numbering follows current order and is not a stable reference.

MCP relationship

get-file-data can inspect raw content and generic project tools manage the file itself. The images-file-* operations target Design-system Images, not this file. Use the UI for current collection mutations.

Undo and limits

Add, paste, delete, and clear change persisted rows and use the file's content history. Clipboard reading itself is not a content mutation. Clear removes every row, so confirm scope first.

Paste is SVG text, not arbitrary bitmap upload. Prefer Design-system Images for named, themed, reusable tokens and broader MCP coverage.
