Keyboard shortcuts

Use Ctrl on Windows/Linux and Command on macOS. Global edit shortcuts do not intercept copy, paste, cut, delete, arrows, Escape, or Enter while an input, select, textarea, or content-editable field owns the keystroke.

Editing and files

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+C · Current action: copy current file/editor selection

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+X · Current action: cut current selection

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+V · Current action: paste; a Component canvas can also accept a clipboard image

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+Z · Current action: undo the selected file's next eligible step

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z · Current action: redo

  • Keys: Delete or Backspace · Current action: delete current eligible selection

  • Keys: Esc · Current action: clear Component selection one step; first clears active snap targets

  • Keys: Ctrl/Cmd+R · Current action: reopen the most recently closed tab in the active Editor/Library view

Copy/paste can carry supported content across files. Undo/redo uses the same eligible design-file history as MCP changes.

Element hierarchy arrows

With one ordinary styled element selected and not editing a Path/Mesh:

  • Key: ↑ · Current action: select the parent node

  • Key: ← · Current action: move one place earlier in a relative-positioned flex row

  • Key: → · Current action: move one place later in a relative-positioned flex row

  • Key: ↓ · Current action: move one place later in a relative-positioned flex column

The reorder keys require a relative-positioned node inside a flex parent whose axis matches the key. They do not nudge visual position. There is no matching “earlier in a column” shortcut; use the Element Explorer or drag workflow.

Path editing

  • Keys: Enter · Current action: enter Path editing for one selected Path; press again to exit

  • Keys: Arrow keys · Current action: move selected Path anchors by 1 pixel

  • Keys: Shift + arrow · Current action: move selected Path anchors by 10 pixels

  • Keys: Shift + click anchor · Current action: toggle the anchor in the current point selection

  • Keys: Cmd + click anchor · Current action: toggle corner/smooth behavior

  • Keys: Option/Alt + drag handle · Current action: move one Bézier handle independently

While Path or Mesh editing owns an arrow key, normal hierarchy movement does not run.

Pointer and timeline modifiers

  • Modifier: Shift · Gesture: click element/tree/breadcrumb · Current action: add to selection where that surface supports multi-select

  • Modifier: Shift · Gesture: element drag · Current action: suppress snapping

  • Modifier: Shift · Gesture: drag selection-box area · Current action: start marquee selection rather than moving the selection

  • Modifier: Shift · Gesture: click with Snap pointer · Current action: add/remove an explicit snap target

  • Modifier: Ctrl/Cmd · Gesture: scroll over timeline · Current action: zoom the selected timeline around the pointer

Not currently registered

There is no global shortcut in the current keybinding registry for group/ungroup, align/distribute, bring-to-front/send-to-back, duplicate, timeline play/pause, timeline stepping, or adding a keyframe. Tree nesting/order and visible controls provide those available results.
